Ards Youth 1 v Bryanburn 4

 

This week we were home to Bryansburn at Dairyhall

 

With no match for the last 3 weeks we were hoping the boys could keep up the performances for the last game and with the first 15 mins gone they had. As usaual we started like a steam train attack after attack with no joy with chances falling to Noah Jonny and Staurt but all failing  to hit the target.Then disater struck with Bryansburn hitting two on the break giving stand in keeper Cruze no chance.But to the Ards credit they did not give up with new signing Ben Mc Cloy having a great game on his first outting for the team. Josh Allen in defence was having a wonderful game in the centre of defence with Adam clearing attack after attack.Then a great ball through from Ben to Jonny who flicked it on and it fell to Marcus who made on mistake this time 1-2 half time.

 

The second half started the same as the first with Ards playing all the passing football but not getting what they deserved.Then a Bryansburn attack on the edge of the box which Adam  took out ball and player  and Bryansburn were awarded a penalty which the striker struck given Cruze no chance 1 -3.With players missing Ards fought hard  right to the end but in the last few minutes they conceded there fourth .Debuts for Ross Cockrell and Matthew Cambell who both showed that they will be an asset to the team in the coming months.The game finished with Ards playing strong attractive football but still not able to convert any of there chances.

Over the last 4 months the team is improving every week with new players arriving it is bringing out the fighting spirt in the team as players now no that they have to fight for there place.What is most pleasing about this team is there never give up attitude they fight to the end for each other.
